Valle Salado + Tasting session

The "Valle Salado + Tasting Session" tour is an ideal activity for people who come to Añana for the first time and who, in addition to learning about the salt farms, their importance and the recovery and production work being performed, would like to discover the secrets of Añana Salt, considered by experts as one of the best salts in the world. Valle Salado salt has long seduced the most prestigious chefs, who use it in their creations and promote it worldwide.

Tasting sessions are based on a method especially developed by the Laboratory for Sensory Analysis of the University of the Basque Country (LASEHU). This test is used to assess, in a simple and entertaining way, but also with professionalism, the appearance and aroma-flavour sensations of different types of Valle Salado salt: Mineral salt, Salt Flower, Liquid Salt and Chuzo.

The session includes an analysis of the Mineral Salt varieties combined with spices, such as cayenne, tomato, garlic, herbs and Provencal herbs; with green olives and black olives; and wine.
