Salt Valley + Tasting

The tour “Valle Salado + tasting” is the best activity for the people who come for the first time to Añana. In this tour, apart from knowing the saline, its importance and the recovery and production works, you are going to discover the secrets of the Salt of Añana, considered by the experts as one of the best salts of the world. This salt seduces the most prestigious cooks, who use it in their creations and they promote it all over the world.

The tasting is made with a methodology developed by the Laboratory of Sensory Analysis of the University of the Basque Country (LASEHU). With this test it is evaluated in a simple and enjoyable, but also in a professional way, the appearance and the olfactory-gustatory sensations of the different types of salt: Mineral Salt, Salt Flower Flakes, Liquid Spring Salt and Chuzo (stalactites of salt).

The tasting includes an analyse of the different varieties of Mineral Salt mixed with cayenne pepper, tomato, garlic, Provençal herbs, green and black olive and wine.
