The board of trustees of the Añana Salt Valley Foundation is currently composed of four trustees: the Provincial Council of Alava, the Basque Government, the Añana Town Council and the salt company Gatzagak.

The Provincial Council of Alava is the institution that has promoted the project since its inception and has carried much of the economic weight and responsibility for the work carried out until the creation of the Foundation in 2009.

The Basque Government, mainly through its departments of Environment and Culture, has been a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees since 2013. Its economic and institutional support has also been present since the beginning of the recovery works.

The other two trustees, the Añana Town Council and the salt company Gatzagak, contribute indirectly to the financing but, above all, collaborate in all the activities developed by the Foundation. In the case of Gatzagak it should also be taken into account that they have donated the property of the threshing floors.

The structure of the Board of Trustees and its strategic partners guarantee the involvement and financial support of the Public Administrations for the project, as well as full social support.
