For this reason, Añana Salt is considered one of the best in the world.

From the economic and future point of view of the Cultural Landscape, it is essential to promote the salt activity. The Añana Salt Valley Foundation, in addition to being in charge of production, is responsible for creating a brand image that reflects the extraordinary quality of the salt. To this end, it has the disinterested collaboration of some of the best chefs in the world, who endorse its properties by using it in their restaurants and lending their public image to the project.

Salt production is carried out using traditional techniques and under parameters of sustainability and respect for the landscape. The viability of the salt activity also guarantees the maintenance of the values of authenticity and integrity of the Salt Valley.

This commitment to quality represents a new approach. Instead of producing only one salt, as has been done throughout history, the Foundation has launched four types of natural salts on the market: Mineral Spring Salt, Flor de Sal Flakes, Liquid Spring Salt and Chuzo de Sal.

Chuzo is a unique product in the world and, due to its scarce production, it is almost a collector’s item. They are produced by the effect of small filtrations of salty water in the elevated channels that, drop by drop, create salt stalactites that taste analysis carried out by specialists indicate that they are the best quality salt.

The production and sale of Añana Salt contributes in a very important percentage to the self-financing of the project of recovery and enhancement.
